i bet you wish you were me

no, probably you don't. but you just might if you received a note like this after J&T leave, which feels like the day after Christmas, EVERY TIME, same as with my other kiddos when they go back to their grown up lives. not that they act like children when they're home. but i feel they are my babies, and who acts like a child more than baby?

that makes complete sense.

so. wes came up to me and handed me this note right before he went to bed sunday night. i'm not sure if he had an ulterior motive or was just simply, and correctly, in awe of my awesomeness. i'm sure i'm not going to ask.

"mom's are the best and most lovable organisms on the earth
they help you and me
i love 'em can't ya see
they're god's greatest creation
if your feelin' SAD and ya wanna HUG
moms (mine Rocks) 'll give ya some LOVE.
and to conclude (backwards) i would like to say
EVERY DAY should be
MOTHER'S DAY"

you wish you were me now, don't you? hafta' say i don't blame you.

(i don't know which i am more impressed with; his spelling, his grammar, his creativity, or his gift for making my day)

Howdy.

Today I have some important information to share with all within the sound of my reading audience. The tiny tiny audience.

I hate silhouette art. Gives me the creeps.

I don't know why, nor do I care to seek help from a therapist to rid myself of this burden, but it needed to be said.

I feel lots better now.

it's a doggie dog world

Kevin has been planning on building his dog a dog house since the day we decided to build our people house. The major difference being that this was the house HE was going to build, i.e, the dog house; whilst the people house not so much. But if he wanted to or had the time or was a lunatic he could most definitely build a people house. He left that up to me. The being a lunatic part.

I don't know why I was surprised by Kevin's idea of what a dog house should be, and will be. It is for his DOG after all. I think he modeled it after the original beagle dog house-Snoopy's place. I can just see Hunter lying on his back along the peak. All it lacks is a chimney, but that's the last thing I'm going to point out.

Did anyone have any doubt that Wes would end up in the dog house?

Just wait til you see the done deal.

ps. today at Wes' piano lessons I noticed how bedraggled his clothing looked and thought to myself, gee he looks like he sleeps in his clothes. That's cuz HE DOES. When I mentioned my thoughts to him he just smiled at how awesome he is and what a good idea it is to wake up ready for school. And there will be no talking him into changing his ways. Maybe the dog house is where he belongs.
